Construction Steps

Process at Its Best
To keep the construction process clear and manageable, we work with so-called construction steps. These are well-defined, structured parts of the execution process. By breaking the work down into smaller phases, we not only create more clarity and structure, but also reduce the risk of errors. Additionally, this approach makes the construction sequence immediately transparent.
BIM
During the engineering phase, we model the entire project in detail using 3D. This digital model forms the foundation for the BIM model – Building Information Model – in which each component is not only represented geometrically but also enriched with all relevant information.
One key data attribute within the BIM model is the construction step. This indicates when and where an element is required during execution. Each element is linked to a specific phase within the construction process. In some cases, a construction step consists of multiple elements that are placed either simultaneously or in a defined sequence.
This method results in a clear, visual step-by-step plan that closely reflects reality on the construction site. It enhances understanding, reduces errors, and supports efficient execution.
Insight into Activities
Our 3D model is synchronized in real time with Trimble Connect — a central platform that gives all project stakeholders access to the most up-to-date version of the model anytime, anywhere. This ensures that the construction team on site always has reliable and current information at hand.
With our custom-developed Trimble Connect extension, users can easily navigate through the construction steps. This provides the execution team with a clear and visual understanding of the planned sequence of activities. It enhances control over the process, improves communication, and contributes to efficient execution.
