The originally Scandinavian company JYSK is experiencing rapid growth, especially in recent years in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The chain already operates nine distribution centers across Europe, with number ten planned at Flevokust Haven. The close proximity to the container terminal at the port is a significant advantage for JYSK.
High Bays
The project covers an area of 147,000 m², which is remarkable in terms of size alone. Additionally, two high bays (multi-story warehouses) are being constructed here, providing space for 166,000 pallet locations. These locations are accessed by robots, which requires the anchors to be installed with minimal tolerances.
The same applies to the anchors and dowels throughout the rest of the building. Since prefabricated concrete columns and walls are used, the connection to the foundation via dowels and PEIKO anchors must be extremely precise.
